§ 02 — Licensing

License what already works.

Two ways in: license a proven consumer brand, or license the operating suite that runs it, with ongoing consulting from the team that uses it every day.

Brand licensing

A brand you can open under.

Social Brands owns its brand IP: the trade name, logo and marks, brand guide, slogan, apparel and accessories, and website. We license it to operators under long-term agreements with a royalty on net sales.

What the license includes

  • Use of the name, logo, marks and brand guide
  • Approved packaging and merchandise, supplied by us
  • Marketing guidelines, with review before anything runs
  • The network's shared services: marketing, website and search, software, signage
  • Monthly reporting and an annual review
  • A long-term agreement

Standards, approvals and supply are covered on Brand management.

Suite licensing

The whole operating suite, under one agreement.

Not modules priced separately and bolted together. One agreement covers every platform on this page, plus ongoing consulting from the people who run it.

i.

The whole suite

Access to everything: Mission Control, Data & Analytics, and the search and content engine. One agreement, the full stack.

ii.

Ongoing consulting

Software alone doesn't change a business. The agreement includes continued strategic support: operators on the phone, not a support-ticket queue.

iii.

It keeps improving

We build for the network we support first. Every improvement made there, you get. You're licensing something under active development by the people who depend on it.

Platform

Mission Control

The operations platform: a single sign-in where ownership, admins, store managers and sales associates run the retail business. Built to streamline store operations and track the parts of the business that matter most.

Main

Dashboard widgets, email and calendar, reminders and notifications, and meetings, including Meeting Intel, which turns a transcript into action items.

Store Pulse

The alerts layer: compliance checks, expiring products, inventory value, staff credential expiry, discount and adjustment alerts, stagnant inventory, ordering review and review monitoring.

Performance KPIs

Store performance week over week and month over month, associate KPIs, loyalty signups and discount breakdowns.

Incentives

A full vendor-incentive system: campaign builder with formats, tiers and qualifiers, plus roster, standings and results. Brands sign into their own partner portal.

Team & Content

Manager checklists (daily, weekly, monthly and onboarding), inventory audits, requests, acknowledgments, team chat and scheduled reports.

System

A help center and settings with role-based access. Everyone signs into the same platform and sees only what their job requires.

Platform

Data & Analytics

A single database holding all of your point-of-sale and loyalty data, with sophisticated analytics running on top. Essentially an analyst, without the headcount.

One source of truth

Every transaction, customer record and loyalty event in one place, so your systems stop telling two different stories about the same customer.

Sophisticated analytics

Cohorts, retention curves, basket analysis, price sensitivity and campaign lift. The kind of analysis that turns a hunch into a decision you can defend.

Integration support

Connects your loyalty platform to the point of sale and keeps the two reconciled as data flows in.

Answers on demand

Ask a question in plain language and get the answer back with the numbers behind it. No ticket, no analyst queue.

Which customers are about to lapse?

Purchase history checked against buying cycles, not an afternoon of exports and spreadsheets.

Did that promo actually make money?

Margin impact separated from volume, so you know whether a discount bought growth or gave away price.

What do our best customers buy?

Basket patterns across your top segment, without anyone stopping to build a report.

What's covered

  • Mission Control access
  • Data & Analytics
  • Search & Content engine
  • Brand and associate portals
  • Ongoing strategy consulting
  • Platform updates and new features

Build vs. license

Building internally means taking responsibility for development, integration and ongoing maintenance. Licensing offers another starting point: an existing operating framework, with support as you put it to work.
